Pollution Hotspots

prosolve370e will effectively neutralize nitrous oxides (NOx), a harmful by-product of combustion engines most commonly produced by cars. NOx is a key contributor to air pollution in cities, and a pre-cursor to ground-level ozone.

Pollution hotspots are designated as locations where air pollution emissions are high, and proximity of the toxins is close enough to expose individuals and population groups to elevated risks of adverse health effects.

Concentrated amounts of the depolluting technology are needed to combat high level sources of pollution, especially in close proximity to humans.

Hotspots typically indicate sites with high pollutant production, but in conditions such as traffic tunnel entrances, or carparks with deep floor plates, provide an insufficient amount of the TiO2-coated surface area exposed to UV light.

It is in these spaces that depolluting technology has its greatest potential.
